Types of Birds Nets

Many birds do not build traditional “nests” at all, but rather create a small depression in the ground or in leaf litter in which they lay their eggs. Species that use natural cavities or cavities constructed by primary cavity nesters are called secondary cavity nesters. Platform nests are relatively flat nests that may be located on the ground, in a tree, or on the tops of rooted vegetation or debris in shallow water. Cupped nests are, of course, cup shaped. In order to successfully mate, lay eggs, incubate them and produce a new generation of birds, each bird species must have an appropriate scheme that is suitable to their life style.
