When a child was born on October 9 in the early ‘80s, in kakuri, Kaduna state, probably no comets were seen. But heaven recorded it that a future great and outstanding investigative journalist had been born.
Because man is ever so finite in knowledge, nobody knew the fact then, but today almost three decades down the line, a few has unraveled. Felix Olaitan is his name, blessed with the perspicacious intellect of the Socrates and a dogged determination that instills fear in the heart of the lazy.
The first gems of knowledge were imparted to young Felix at Heyik nursery and primary school, princess and faith international school, all in Kaduna (all in the early 90's); Oshogbo grammar school, Oshogbo, Osun state between year 2000 and 2005.
From there, Osun state polytechnic iree, Osun state embraced him and he drew from the fountain of knowledge in the institution .
Felix Olaitan who’s known for his dexterity in playing musical instruments is a member of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Lagos Chapter and the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).
He has worked with several journalists and OAP’s such as Oluwaseun Salawudeen AKA Deejay Bassman in Osun State Broadcasting Corporation OSBC, New Dawn Television (NDTV), NTA Ile Ife, Living Spring 104.5 FM (all in Osun state), Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State BCOS, Radio OYO where he did his internship; Mundial Sports International MSI owned by ace sports journalist Felix Okugbe, DAAR Communications PLC, owners of African Independent Television (AIT), Ray power 100.5 fm and FAAJI 106.5 fm where he is an associate producer of the award winning sports show, Sports Extra, Best of Sports, Sports Machine, producer of Peak soccer moments turned Masters ball on Ray power fm, Classical moments in football amongst others.
He is the Concept owner and producer of "Naija Futbol" Radio show on Faaji 106.5fm.
Inspired by the flourishing promise of a fledging sports industry, he joined Master sports International, a pace setting sports marketing and media company in Nigeria with a reputation that rubs through the combined expertise and diligence of celebrated journalists (Mitchell Obi – the Executive Vice Chairman, President, International Sports Press Association AIPS and Ejiro Omonode ,the MD/CEO) flaunting an aggregate experience of over five decades.
He works with R2TV.
He is currently the Executive Director of FOY MEDIA.
