Almost Three Decades Practicing the Law in Indianapolis, Indiana
An alumnus of Harvard University, Felix Rippy earned an undergraduate degree in history. Graduating cum laude in 1984, he went on to pursue his JD at the University of Texas. While earning his JD, he focused his studies on commercial and employment law and distinguished himself academically, graduating in the top third of his class.
Felix Rippy began his career as an attorney serving as an associate at Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld in Austin, Texas. In this position, he represented a diverse range of private businesses including insurance providers, rail companies, and technology firms providing legal advice and representation in cases involving regulatory issues, and commercial litigation.
In 1991, Felix Rippy left Texas to attend Indiana University Kelley School of Business, where he pursued an MBA focusing on employment law and management. Again, he distinguished himself academically, graduating second in his class and serving as class salutatorian. After earning his MBA, Mr. Rippy stayed on in Indiana working as an associate at DeFur, Voran, Hanley, Radcliff & Reed. There, he represented public and private institutions including corporations, municipal governments, and universities. He also served briefly as a Judge Pro Tem in Superior Court Number 2 of Delaware County, Indiana.
In 1994, Mr. Rippy founded Rippy Henderson & Taylor, an Indiana based law firm with offices in Indiana and Texas. Practicing civil, family, business and criminal law, he represented a diverse roster of clients, including several city and town governments in Texas while managing the firm’s payroll, personnel, and marketing.
