Hello! I am a Master of Teaching student at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the Primary/Junior level. Through my volunteer and work experience I have worked with students in both the primary and secondary classrooms.
My thesis currently involves how teachers in the primary grades (JK-8) are using children's literature to promote cultural understanding among students in regards to identity. Hopefully, through my research, I will be able to inform the practice of teaching and make way for new developments in the field of multicultural children's literature!
