Hi, I'm Jo!

* I'm a librarian-in-training; having worked in academic libraries since 2010, I'm currently studying for a distance learning MA in Information and Library Studies student at Aberystwyth University.

* I'm making my first tentative steps into the field of Special Collections Librarianship. I am particularly interested in Rare Books and outreach work for all ages and areas. I sometimes blog about that over at http://manuscriptsandmarginalia.wordpress.com.

* I'm a GirlGuider! I'm currently undertaking my Leadership Qualification and I help to run a unit of about 25 Brownies (7 - 10 year old girls) every week near my home. Guiding is amazing - it's part educating-young-women, part creativity and part zaniness!
