Femin(eyes) is a blog that primarily focuses on universal debates and media stories relating to women. There has been an evident rise in independency amongst women in westernized societies, however social discrimination and oppression of women is still illustrated in developing African countries with many women falling victim to sexual and domestic abuse – an issue that contradicts the belief in gender equity that many countries have attempted to forge into all social sectors. This blog will function as a destination for both local and internationally publicized news as well as a platform for young women - like myself - to freely voice their opinions.
