Chaela Hins

I am an small-scale artist and feminist working primarily with ink and watercolors. My inspiration comes from many women--some who are personal friends or family members, some from folklore and mythology, and others who come from imagination, but represent another's truth or reality in the world. I seek to bring light to these women through my illustrations, letting their stories, triumphs, trials, and tribulations bleed onto paper through ink and watery hues. I seek to represent women of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, ethnicities, sexualities, and gender identities through my art in order to show women as the unique, beautiful, and inspirational beings that they are.
