Born France Ferdinand Betonio Cavite y Monte Cristo. Ferdz grew up in the outskirt of Olongapo City living a life of an ordinary kid in a used to be sleepy town of Subic which tranformed overnight into a red district due to poverty brought about by the sudden loss of jobs of so many with the pull out of the US Naval and eruption of Mt Pinatubo in 1990's. Although protected by his loving family from the dangers of the real world, the sufferings of his people particularly the Native Aeta stuck to his mind building the foundation for his humanitarian work for the preservation of the Culture and Arts.
