Mr. Ferdinand Tolentino is a faculty member at Miriam College - Skills Development and Technical Education Center, an academic institution that caters to underprivileged students, the marginalized, deaf learners, and students who have other special needs. He teaches English and Filipino to Junior High School and Alternative Learning System students. He obtained a Professional Master in Special Education at Miriam College to further support his students.

Furthermore, his research interests include language learning and education. His Master's degree’s Capstone Project “Channeling Deaf Abilities: A Compass to a Brighter Future” was presented in an online presentation format in Tokyo, Japan. The paper serves as a guide and a compass to future learners with special needs to have a brighter life that is functional, transformative, thriving, and meaningful.

His team’s research paper “Learning Style Preferences and Their Relationship to Linguistic Competence” was published in the European Publication of Natural and Social Sciences, and its abstract was accepted in the Cambodia Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CamTESOL).

Mr. Tolentino is a part of the social media team of their school where they create posters and videos for marketing.

He was recognized and awarded by the PUP- College of Education as the "Outstanding Student-Teacher in English" for A.Y. 2015-2016.
