I've always loved drawing but I've never considered myself proficient exactly. It's been pretty much consistent throughout my life that the things that I generally want to do the most are the ones that I struggle satisfying myself with. This is not to say that I excel at things that I dislike, but rather, since I enjoy drawing it is more disappointing that I am not as good as I would like to be. Art is something that I have loved my whole life, the works of Edward Gorey - ink drawings - are some of my favorites. Creativity for art is not something that I lack but rather technical ability which is something that I struggle with. I don't consider my self BAD at drawing but I often find myself frustrated, being unable to articulate what I can clearly envision in my head. I do find that I've improved over the years but the things I often struggle with are the human body (proportions, etc.) and perspective in general. Regardless, drawing is one of my passions, while not necessarily something I engage in on a regular basis, I often find myself thinking of it, and will sometimes find myself taken with a spontaneous idea and will have to execute it to paper as soon as possible to remember it.
