I am a project manager, researcher, teacher, and PhD. currently living in Kansas City, MO. My interests range from reading to education. I am also interested in photography, DIY, and scientific writing.
I received my B.Sc. in Biology from Fatih University, Istanbul, Turkey. I completed my PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at University of Nevada, Reno under the supervision of Christopher Porada and Esmail Zanjani,one of the leading teams of in utero gene therapy in the U.S.
I moved to Creighton University for my postdoctoral study with Devendra Agrawal in cardiovascular gene therapy research. I then worked with Ali Nawshad at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in the field of cell signaling of palatogenesis and bioinformatics analysis.
Recently, I moved to Canik Basari University of Samsun, Turkey as the founding chair of Molecular Biology and Genetics Department. I served as directors of BasGen Cancer Research Laboratory and BalMer Apitherapy Honey Research Center.
I was invited to several conferences as a speaker in the US, Europe, Middle East and Turkey.
