Fernanda was born and raised in Coyoacan, Mexico City, a neighborhood known for its Colonial architecture and cultural diversity: from Frida Kahlo to the artists and artesans selling their work in the streets; from renown bars and restaurants to farmers selling corn and churros... And the towering cathedral of San Juan Bautista, at the center of the main square, is where her grandparents got married. Fernanda had a flair for spectacle since her early childhood days, acting out musicals and scenes from movies and telenovelas for her family, friends and dolls. And her acting career set in motion after she was selected to train at Televisa's young actor's Conservatory program. By the time she was 10 years old, she made her first attempt to write: it was the script for a musical with covers from a mexican pop-rock band. In high school, she was selected to be one of the singers of the musical ensemble, a band of 20 musicians performing around the city. In 2011, Fernanda moved to Los Angeles. L.A has gifted her with a treasure chest of opportunities, including her training at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute, her training at the legendary Second City and the UCB; an accessibility to great wine, the LA Public Library collection and the opportunity to cross paths with co-workers that have deeply inspired her. She loves to travel and one of her dreams is to visit every country in the world - hey, a girl can dream...
