Dr. Fernando Lourenço

Dr Fernando Lourenco was previously a senior lecturer & unit leader at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School (MMUBS). After completing the BA in Product & Furniture Design (Kingston University) and MSc in Manufacturing, Design & Sustainability (Cranfield University), he worked as a freelance designer. He later completed MRes & PhD in Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Education with full scholarship and joined MMUBS in 2008. In 2009 he was awarded the National Enterprise Educators Award (UK).
He has been a visitor/guest lecturer at Leeds University, University of Liverpool, University of Cumbria, University of the Arts London, St. Martin’s College, University of Salford, Ecole Supérieure de Management (Paris), ISM University (Lithuania, Vilnius), Zhejiang Gongshan University (China) and ran numerous workshops in Macau (Pooi To Middle School Macau, St. Jose Ka-ho School, Caritas Macau, Escola S. J. Brito, Escola Secundaria Luso-Chinesa de Luis Gonzaga Gomes).
He is currently developing a number of for-profit & social enterprises with a number of entrepreneurs. He is the founder of SIMANG Association of Macau (mission: tackle social exclusion via education). Fernando is also the co-founder and shareholder of SIBOK Education & Consultancy, Ltd (Macau, China). In 2012, he joined IFT as Assistant Professor to contribute to Macau and to the education/academic community. He is currently teaching Principles of Management, Special Topic in HRM, Strategic Management, Marketing and Retail Business Project, Store Design & Visual Merchandising and Entrepreneurship.
