Fernando Casas has been working during the last 25 years, in the area of Cultural Management, Film and Music Production and Tourism Development.
In the nineties, Fernando moved to Spain to work with acclaimed pop star and actor, Miguel Bose, better known internationally for his lead role as the transvestite LETHAL in PEDRO ALMODOVAR´S award winning film, HIGH HEELS.
His passion for the arts has involved him in an innumerable amount of cultural projects in the fields of film, music, dance, theatre, and literature and art.
Fernando is currently Managing Director of Creactiva Productions, a multicultural company that develops, produces and services all kinds of cultural and artistic activities: from music and audiovisual production and consultancy, artist development and booking; in fields such as the arts, audiovisual, music and entertainment production, dance theatre, art exhibitions, and general cultural management and production.
In the audiovisual field, Fernando has produced several film & documentary projects for international television.
He has been Chief Producer of the Madrid International Jazz Festival from 2003 to 2008. In 2007-09 Fernando was involved in the highly successful Off Broadway musical production: CELIA, based on the life and music of universal Latin icon, Celia Cruz.
Fernando also has an extensive experience in bringing foreign film productions to Spain and his main market has been the various Indian film industries. He produced the highly successful Bollywood blockbuster ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA (You Only Live Once), shot almost entirely in Spain, the film for which Fernando worked as Locations Line Producer, Associate Partner Producer and Production Consultant. He also recently worked with acclaimed Tamil film director S. Shankar to shoot scenes for his latest film NANBAN (3 Idiots) in Madrid, thus promoting local tourism.
He is currently developing a TV program based on Film Tourism for worldwide view.
At the same time he promotes, programs and produces festivals and cultural encounters of Indian Arts in Spain and promotes Spanish culture abroad .
Finally, Fernando insists on his value as a multidisciplinary and multicultural entrepreneur and businessman, which allows him to move easily in versatile areas of work and development, and his deep knowledge of diverse cultures.
