PhD in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism at the University of the Republic (FADU-UDELAR, Uruguay). Master’s Degree in Strategic Management of Information Technologies from the European University Miguel de Cervantes (Spain). Architect graduated from FADU-UDELAR.

He is Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Center for Digital Integration (CID) at FADU-UDELAR. He served on the International Executive Committee of SIGraDi (Ibero-American Society for Digital Graphics) from 2017 to 2025, and is a current member of its scientific committee, as well as those of CAADRIA (Asia) and eCAADe (Europe). He also collaborates with several academic journals across Ibero-America, Italy, and Turkey. From 2019 to 2022, he was a member of Uruguay’s National System of Researchers (SNI).

He completed postgraduate studies in Spain and Italy in the fields of management and information systems. Until 2010, he was CEO of Nexus – Architectural Design & Visual Communication, managing international architecture and design projects in outsourcing mode for clients in Spain, Italy, and Ireland.

His academic journey includes co-leading the projects Viaje 2.0 (2011), Plexo. A multisensory journey (2015), Plexo – Playful Territories (2018), and Plexo – Possible Futures (2023), where he was responsible for the Asian segment, which included Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, and France.

Since 2009, he has been a partner at Oficina de Proyectos with architect Álvaro Gentini. He balances professional practice with a strong passion for writing and research, focusing on the physical-digital convergence, emerging technologies, and speculative design futures.
