Fernando Trallero
I was born in Zaragoza, Spain and raised in Dorado, Puerto Rico. Although I lived only five years in Spain I still keep close relationships with that side of my family and I visit them whenever possible. After high school I enrolled in the Polytechnic University in San Juan where I'm close to graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a special interest in Robotics and Mechatronics. This month (Nov. 2011) I participated in the Super Computing Conference in Seattle Washington. I represented my University presenting a special project on beamforming a digital signal processing technique, particularly applying MVDR (Minimal Variance Distortionless Response). While on first impression I might seem "nerdy" because I'm deeply involved in science, mathematics and computing, my interests are broader and more varied. I love sports, I run marathons and I practice Kung-fu. I am a movie buff. I like to play music and I've taught myself to play several instruments. I like to cook and Italian cuisine is my favorite. I speak Spanish and English and I'm learning to speak Italian and Mandarin. I'm also in the AFROTC, no, it's not African-American Techie Club, its the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps. I'm a Wing Cadet Captain and I expect to receive my commission soon.
