James Ferrari is a visual artist, businessman, social entrepreneur, filmmaker, writer at work on a multitude of projects involving media as an inclusive vehicle to social enterprise, all with an eye on empowerment through interpersonal and digital interaction. His engine is participatory research. Ferrari Media is the holding company for all communications and multimedia projects which began in 2001 and have not been released. The goal is to exhibit the whole.

In the business world, James Ferrari founded Benjamin James Real Estate in 1993 after a long frustrating search for the perfect home in New York. He saw the need for a real estate agency that was capable of catering to a full range of New Yorkers.

James is a visual artist working across mediums and founded an arts collective Tribal Truth 2025, which has been the umbrella company for a myriad of his media-based projects. He is a member of/supports the Foreign Policy Association, the Public Policy Institute, the Real Estate Board of New York, New York Art Society and Society for the Preservation of Public Space, Color Me In, African Rainforest Conservancy and Nelson Mandela Children's Fund.
