Bio of Mark Fields:
I was born in Indiana. I lived in Ohio and Michigan until I graduated from college. I graduated with Honors from Purdue University and Michigan State University. I worked my way through the ranks of the turf industry to become a Golf Course Manager. During the ten years as a Superintendent I became certified. Only 10% of all Golf Course Superintendents in the Country are certified.
After being a Golf Course Manager for six years in Columbus, Ohio, we moved with my one year old son and wife to Pinehurst, North Carolina(The Golf Mica). I took a Head Golf Course Management position at a 36 Hole Resort Club, Whispering Pines Country Club. Besides my involvement with every aspect of designing, building, maintaining, and renovating a golf course, I was an owner and registered Landscape Contractor. Being named to the Ornamental Advisory Board of Moore County, Pinehurst, North Carolina is a testimony to the reputation of my business.
After my business was purchased thirteen years later, I began my career in Sales. I introduced the Green Industry to a new product and new category in 1993. Profile Porous Ceramic can be found in every Wal-Mart in the world. And it is being
used by over 5,000 golf courses nation-wide.
After my career with Profile, I was given the opportunity to be Novozymes first sales person for the Golf and Green Industry. Novozymes is the world leader in enzyme production and world leader in Insulin Production. I helped develop their distribution and helped with their acquisition of Roots Plant Care in June 2004. While I was employed, Novozymes become the world leader in the Green Industry in Biostimulants and Microbial.
I have been in Real Estate for seven years. Three years with new home builder Lennar Homes in the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach Division. And four years with Real Living All Florida Realty. I have sold $100K Townhomes in Vero Beach to $500K Single Family Homes in Boca Raton to people from all over the world.
I reside in the middle of this area in Port Saint Lucie with my wife, Bonnie of 36 years. I have a son living in Florida and a thirteen year old grandson in North Carolina. My grandson loves hockey. I fly him to Florida three to four times per year. We both enjoy golfing, fishing, swimming, gardening, biking, and movies together.
