Filomena Laforgia has over 15 years of experience in advertising, marketing and sales promotion in both traditional and online media and is the sole and beneficial owner of Filanthropists.com. Ms. Laforgia founded Filanthropist.com, Inc in 2009 and launched www.filanthropists.com in September 2010. Filanthropists.com is online shopping mall that serves as a voice in the marketplace for charities and independent merchants who engage in fundraising via charity shopping. Most recently she was consulting for Pica9.com, a web-based brand logistics company, where she matured high-level meetings with potential new accounts including Verizon, North Jersey Media Group, Linens ‘n Things, and Spencer’s Gifts. She has also consulted for Gift Card Partners, Inc. where she was responsible for the sales and marketing of several, large, national retailers’ B2B gift card programs. Before leaving, she secured for one of her client a lucrative three-year partnership worth over 1M with Intuit/Turbo Tax making it the second largest B2B program for that company’s year to date. Before then, she was consulting for Cromo-Vista Productions where she developed corporate sponsorships for their home decorating magazine Casa Design for Living NJ which catered to affluent Northern NJ demographics with household. Prior to consulting, Mrs. Laforgia was Director of Marketing for Audible.com (purchased by Amazon 2008), the leader in downloadable audio-books, where she was responsible for successfully launching the first pay-subscription model on the Internet and significantly expanded that company's customer base. Before then, she was an Advertising/Sales Promotion Manager for Linens ‘n Things. During her tenure, she had many professional accomplishments and saw Linens ‘n Things through its rapid and impressive rise to a public company with over a billion dollars in yearly sales. Mrs. Laforgia received her bachelors’ degree in Marketing and International Business from Farleigh Dickinson University. Fun Fact: She has written two full length screenplays.
