I’m Filipa Borges—an engineer who pairs hands-on cloud and automation skills with more than ten years of people-leadership that began outside the IT world.

For most of my career I managed operational and analytics teams in retail & brand-performance settings, coordinating everything from demand-planning meetings to cross-department reporting for names such as Nike, Adidas and Tiffosi. Those years taught me the essentials of clear communication, stakeholder alignment and motivating specialists with very different backgrounds—skills I now bring to technology projects.

Today I design and run microservice platforms on Kubernetes and Microsoft Azure, embed Zero-Trust security in CI/CD pipelines, and code daily in Python, C#/.NET and SQL. My current focus is workflow automation: I recently led a proof-of-concept that used n8n plus a lightweight GPT agent to read launch dates from a shared calendar, generate personalised copy and schedule releases across Mailchimp, LinkedIn and YouTube—cutting manual effort by ≈30 percent and delivering 100 percent on-time campaigns.

Because my leadership roots are outside pure software, I’m careful to stay hands-on: reviewing code, writing documentation and removing blockers so engineers can do their best work. Whether the challenge is orchestrating containers, automating a product-launch pipeline or simply aligning diverse stakeholders, I aim to deliver solutions that free people for higher-value tasks and move the business forward.
