I was born in 1982 and grew up in Portugal, in a small city, near the mountains, with a harsh and rough climate. Then I went to Coimbra's University, where I graduated with a master's in Biology.

I chose this path because the discovery of new and fascinating places and species was present in my imaginary, as was done by the great David Attenborough. Like him, I’m a traveler, even if sometimes only in my mind, a wanderer with a backpack, who enjoys meeting new people, lands, points of view, and therefore get a chance to be aware of cultures and different ways of thinking.

Nowadays, my main subject interests are Botanic knowledge, Biodiversity & Conservation, Sustainable Development, and Emotional Ecology. I think that mankind must work together in order to maintain our natural ecosystems as untroubled as possible and try to understand and correct any mistakes that we may have practiced against the environment.

Later, in university, I realized that I wasn't made to do typical research in an academic career. I worked in the Botanical Garden, in Coimbra, giving guiding tours and making pedagogical activities (among other gardening and horticulture tasks), which later, in my point of view, evolved to something like a Nature Educator. So the dream is getting closer…

To upgrade my knowledge I made some vocational training courses in fields related, like sustainable energies, organic agriculture, and forest ecology, and also some training related to audiovisual production and media and also documentary cinema.

I believe that I can merge both areas, Environment and Visual Arts such as, for instance, conservation documentaries.

In addition, to get out of the box, training in craft beer and massage therapies also made part of my knowledge process.

Currently, I work in the biggest science center of Portugal, the Pavilion of Knowledge as a Science Educator, as an explainer/mediator, where I also help in the coordination of birthday parties and holidays with science for kids from 6 to 12 years old.
