With a background in Communications, Retail and Styling, I pride myself in taking a responsible approach to fashion marketing and the collaboration between brands and the consumer. Daily, we are fed news of the growing number of outlets whom knowingly or not, reinforce a body ideal that for most can be unachievable and for some, close to devastatingly unattainable, without the aid of some kind of assistance. Along the road of personal experiences, birthdays, character building and other cultural forces, many mistakenly fuel personal comparisons and in turn cloud the perception of one’s self.Fashion is a treatment, skilfully applied to a functional garment and more often than not the great designer produces mind stunningly beautiful design.Dressing is one of a number of acts that the majority experience each day. How many of you have stopped to consider how this one act affects everything that follows for you that day? Many will leave putting something on until the act few minutes of leaving home, forgetting that the clothes you wear will speak to the world before you’ve said a word!Our personal broadcast is our style, an echo of who we are. It carries our story through every experienced surrounding so should never be stumbled upon by following somebody else’s opinion of beauty.Now understanding this power, imagine the sense of pride from knowing exactly who you are and how to express it through one seamless look and outlook, flowing from the inside out! Just like product branding that attracts the perfect customer, you too can attract your most desired wants.I believe many fashion designers work hard to provide works of aspiration.
