An entrepreneur and technologist, Ben Finkel is the Co-founder and CTO of Jelly Industries.
At Jelly, Ben is shaping the future of search for the next generation of computing platforms, like voice and VR. Jelly makes it easy to ask a question and get the answer you’re looking for without sifting through results.
Previously, Ben founded and served as CEO of Fluther, a Q&A site that grew into a thriving community of more than 1.3 million monthly visitors. In December 2010, Fluther was acquired by Twitter.
At Twitter, Ben led the NUX team, which helped grow Twitter’s active user base from 50 million to more than 200 million. He left Twitter to co-found Jelly with Biz Stone.
Prior to his days as an entrepreneur, Finkel worked at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where he developed algorithms for outer space systems and novel applied image-processing techniques for locating unexploded bombs.
Ben graduated from Brown University with honors, earning a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. In his free time, Ben enjoys hiking, performing sketch comedy, and brewing loose leaf teas while listening to science podcasts. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and son.
