Growing up in McKinney, Texas, Finley developed a strong interest in sports early on. He became an accomplished diver in high school, competing with the Dallas Metroplex Diving team. As team captain, he set multiple school records and achieved personal bests, including a score of 232 in the 1-meter, 6-dive event and 320.4 in the 1-meter, 10-dive event.
Finley’s commitment to diving was evident through his rigorous training, which included cross-fit and weightlifting to build strength and improve his performance. This disciplined approach to sports helped him develop essential skills such as focus, perseverance, and time management.
Finley was born in 2004 and is the oldest of two sons. His younger brother, Hayes, is currently a senior in high school. Raised by his parents, Jason and Doris Pfardrescher, he has always had a robust support system that has guided him in his academic and athletic endeavors. His family has played a pivotal role in shaping his character, instilling in him a sense of responsibility, hard work, and gratitude.
In addition to his athletic pursuits, Finley was involved in other extracurricular activities during high school. He contributed to the school’s broadcast news program, reporting on various local and school events. He was also active in theater, participating in plays and commercials and even acting in the independent film Dear Leo. His role in the movie, where he portrayed Jared M., gave him valuable experience in acting and the film industry.
At Ole Miss, Finley continues to balance his academic responsibilities with his passion for diving. He remains involved in the university’s car community as a founding Ole Miss Car Club member. Though his studies and diving commitments limit his time, he maintains his interest in cars and enjoys attending car shows and meet-ups whenever possible.
