Even after 20 years wriitng about hotels, I'm still fascinated by them - they are a unique form of business - all about the people who run them. My friends say I'm a people person. I learned my trade writing about unusual small hotels for the Charming Small Hotel Guides, published by my husband Andrew, where I'm still the Series Editor. My column on the back page of the Sunday Telegraph Travel Section started eight years ago. We have two sons - one a videographer and the other a ship broker and live in London and the New Forest.
