Fiona Dalwood

Melbourne, Australia

Fiona Dalwood is a film-maker and artist based in Melbourne, Australia. Honing her craft ever since she could wield a crayon, Fiona quickly mastered pirate stick figures and dive-bombing birds before moving on to study drawing at the Victorian College of the Arts where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1999. Her art work has exhibited in Australia and overseas, and has been featured in nice big coffee table books. In 2012 Fiona had the amazing opportunity to see her work turned into LEGO street art as part of LEGO's Festival of Play. Her LEGO 'Mocktopuss' now hangs out in the foyer of LEGO's Copenhagen HQ.

Fiona is also known for holding down a diverse range of Big Kid jobs such as being a graphic designer, web developer, social media wrangler, copywriter, book publisher, cartographer and many things in between. She finally figured out what she wanted to do when she grew up and at age 32 returned to school to study animation at the VCA. She completed her Masters in Animation in 2013.

Her short animated films 'The Comeback' and 'The Batchelor Experience' have toured film festivals all over the world. Fiona has just wrapped production on "Good Grief", a short claymation documentary that looks at what we have to gain from losing something we love.

Fiona is available for artistic commissions, animation, films gigs, graphic design and any other creative project. Drop her a line!
