Fiqri discovered his passion for the coffee industry during his college years and began his career as a Barista at Starbucks in 2014. After graduating, he explored new challenges in the hospitality industry by working as a bartender at The Tavern in 2016, one of Semarang’s well-known nightlife destinations.
Driven by his growing enthusiasm for coffee, Fiqri joined Java Legend Coffee Lab in 2017, a humble establishment dedicated to making coffee knowledge accessible to coffee enthusiasts without boundaries. Equipped with strong experience in coffee, hospitality, and café management, he played an important role in training baristas and helping aspiring entrepreneurs establish their own coffee shop businesses.
Two years later, Fiqri moved to Jakarta and joined Three Folks Coffee and Creamery as a Floor Manager, overseeing operations across three stores in the Greater Jakarta area.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, he experienced a career setback after being laid off. Shortly after, in October 2020, he joined the pre-opening team of %ARABICA Indonesia, contributing to the launch of the globally recognized specialty coffee brand in Indonesia.
After successfully navigating the challenges of the pandemic, Fiqri continued his professional journey with KFC as a Product Development Officer. In this role, he developed innovative food and beverage products that complemented KFC’s globally recognized identity while maintaining relevance with local consumer preferences. His expertise spans product innovation, market trend analysis, ingredient exploration, and operational execution, ensuring products remain high-quality and aligned with evolving customer expectations.
Currently, Fiqri serves as a R&D Specialist at TOMORO Coffee, where he focuses on coffee research and development, beverage innovation, sensory evaluation, SOP development, and product standardization. In this role, he combines his operational background and deep understanding of coffee to create scalable, market-driven beverage concepts while continuously improving product quality and customer experience.
