As I was brainstorming what to write in my bio, I decided to talk about something that has affected my life the most. When I was a senior in high school, I was given a job as a nanny by a stranger online.
I started in the middle of the pandemic in California and I had classes online all year. I could not swim or play tennis, so why not use my free time making money? I had never had a job because I was busy and my parents wanted me to focus on school. I have nine younger cousins that I have always watched at family events, so I had some experience with kids.
Throughout nine months of nannying for these two boys, I learned so much about myself. I learned lots of basic values that goes into caring for children and I learned I excel in these values.
By becoming such a big part of these strangers’ lives, I expanded my family. These two boys, only six and nine, have shaped me into the person I am today and have even allowed me to consider a career working with children.
Obviously, I can only see the boys when I am in California, but every time I have gone back they attempt to steal all of my time in the most affectionate ways possible.
