Steve Fitzpatrick

Steve created a digital agency called Digital Domination to help customers get better results from their online marketing.

He also teaches people online marketing and business building at Digital Domination and uses his personal blog at stevefitz.com to inspire others to create their ideal lifestyle design.

Steve was born in Perth in 1971 and moved around Australia as his father Kevin Fitzpatrick pursued his career ambitions as a civil engineer.

He was married in 1993 to Jayne Maree Vincent and two years later he had a son named Zachary.

Steve entered into the building industry after finishing school (and doing a short stint as a professional dancer).

In 2000 Steve left his full time employment and went into full time study to earn his software engineering degree in 2003. Although he had a passion for developing software and a love of technology, the .com bust left few jobs in Perth so he returned to the building industry. Though with new found goals and a larger passion for business and management.

He followed in his fathers footsteps, pursuing his career and climbing the corporate ladder with several different companies until in 2007 his father passed away suddenly. He died of a heart attack at his desk in his Melbourne office.

That was a turning point for Steve as he sought to leave the corporate world for a more balanced lifestyle.

In 2010 he left his position as General Manager of Platinum Homes after growing the company from $5M turnover to $16M in just 4 years.

His first company was Your Building Broker - helping new home buyers develop their own custom home design and build with smaller speciality builders.

In 2011 he launched Digital Domination at the request of several builders who wanted him to develop online marketing strategies that he was employing successfully.

In 2012 he launched Typical Business - a podcast show to help other business owners discover better ways of doing business. It is also a platform for him to mentor others wanting a professional change in scenery.
