Q & A with Mister Fitz

Q: So what would you say are the most important things for a person to know about you?

A: George Carlin once said, "Inside every cynic is a disappointed idealist." That's a pretty good approximation of my worldview. As an artist and writer, I'm as passionate and romantic as they come, but I've risen to a level of cynicism that has me constantly waivering between a state of apathy and existential nihilism. Thus, I can come off as being somewhat jaded or bitter; I'm a sardonic guy.

Q: Your headline says that you're "mildly insane...but surprisingly likeable;" could you elaborate?

A: I've been diagnosed with bipolar disorder for over 20 years now, and I try to be as open and honest about it as possible. I'm well aware of the fact that I can be a huge pain in the ass to deal with; I'm moody, irratic, and to be quite honest, terrible at most interpersonal relationships. But the combination of my honesty and my antics make for a pretty endearing brand of eccentricity. I think it's helpful that I have a healthy, albeit dark, sense of humor.

Q: Anything else that the general public should know about Mister Fitz?

A: People that know me will know who I am, but I really enjoy the anonymity of the Internet. You won't ever find me revealing my real name or any actual photos of myself. I like to push buttons and speak my mind, and blogging is the perfect medium to do so, unhampered by ego. Read my blogs or ask me a question in the comments, and you'll know me as well as anyone else does.
