Fiurdelin is an independent botanical illustration studio working at the intersection of art and natural history. Every piece begins with the plant, fungus, or insect itself — its structure, its season, the small details a passing glance misses — and ends as a contemporary illustration faithful enough to teach from, and considered enough to live with.
The studio's growing archive spans Mediterranean herbs, woodland fungi, garden classics, pollinators, and the quieter botanical subjects that rarely make it onto a print shop wall. Each illustration is made to last across formats: original prints and cards, contributions to exhibitions and publications, and — increasingly — pieces that find their way into the homes and gardens of people who care how a plant is actually drawn.
Fiurdelin's first book, The Living Canvas, traces the long history of botanical illustration from herbal manuscripts to the present. The studio's full catalogue, writing, and ongoing work live at botanical.art.
