Anthony Fizer

Hi, I am Anthony Fizer. I was born and raised in a small town with a BIG WELCOME call Shaw, Mississippi. Shaw built love and patience in my heart and made me who I am today. I am an experienced Physical Education teacher with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Delta State University, and I have literally put my head, heart, and body into the fields of education and recreation for over ten years. My experiences as an athlete, coach, Program Director, Recreation Coordinator, Residential Counselor, and teacher; helped cultivate my expertise in working with kids and individuals who have behavioral, emotional, physical, and learning challenges. My goal as an educator has exceeded the mere perimeters of textbooks and playgrounds. I have always aspired to create a positive environment that fully engages the students to build healthy relationships with their peers, and trust and have confidence in their teachers; so that they can experience their highest potential. Strong belief in this idea propelled me to create spaces where the young are given a chance to have a great kick off, early on in their lives. I am the founder of (MTPE) Mentoring Through Physical Education, Inc.; a registered nonprofit business in the state of Maryland that aims to help solve the growing issues of health problems in our younger generation. MTPE positively influences children lives and motivates them to live a physically active lifestyle that leads to positive results.
