Born 10 January 1943 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.
Graduated (MD) at University of Puerto Rico (UPR) in 1967. Internship and Diagnostic Radiology at UPR. Neuroradiology at Mallinckrodt Institute, Washington University in St. Lois, Mo.
Military Service 1969-1971 initially at Marine Corps in Camp Pendleton, California, thereafter at San Diego Naval Base and later on at Naval Base in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Installed first unit of computerized tomography (CT), first unit of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and first cyclotron for the production of FDG (fluorodeoxyglucose) for use in PET (positron emission tomography) medical studies in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
Homes in Miami and San Juan.
Currently married, have five children and semi-retired.
