I am a wife and a busy mother of two beautiful children. Joseph and I were married on October 16, 2010 in a beautiful ceremony in the chapel at Warren Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia. Like every married couples we have are ups and downs but we know that when we lean on God that out marriage will only grow stronger.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science and a Masters degree in Education from Ashford University. I have worked in the Early Childhood field for the past 18 years. At the moment, I am working as a full time mommy to my Tatorbug and Little Ladybug.
My little tatorbug keeps me on my toes. He is a very imaginative, energetic comedian. Only he would tell me as we are in the car listening to Little Birdie song on his Choo Choo Soul CD.........."Come on my flap your wings" So in the interest of humoring my tatorbug, I start flapping my wings while holding on to the steering wheel. I asked him is he flapping his wings? To which he responds "No, cause I'm not a bird!" Way to go......make mommy look silly driving down the road! The things we will do to make our children happy!
Now my Little Miss Ladybug is quite the little drama queen already and why wouldn't she be, she came into this world with a bang! In her very first week in this world, she was jaundice and had to be in a bilabed, went through an ice storm that knocked out our electricity for a couple of days and then finally an earthquake.
I am just like every other mom…………..I just want the best for my children. I pray that they continue to grow and know God. I know my children will make mistakes, but my goal for them is for them to learn and grow from the mistakes that they make. I know I myself have made my share of mistakes and will probably make more. I refer to the ultimate parenting handbook that has all the answers and that is the word of God, my bible. It has an answer to any and every question that I might ever have. “Trust the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight you paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what it the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2 ESV
