Hey there, I’m Mariah!

I’m a 19 year old Art Education student currently living in North East Ohio, and currently only work part-time.

I use she|her|hers pronouns, or just feminine pronouns in general.

I own one cat, named Sonia. She is literally my baby, and my life. So don’t be surprised if I mention her.

I’m mainly into Nintendo based games like Fire Emblem, Splatoon, Pokemon, and Legend of Zelda; however, I may branch off into other games usually on the PS4 or PC as those are the only other gaming (consoles) I have other than my switch and 3ds. But currently, I’ve been obsessed with Splatoon 2 and that’s most likely why you are here. I’m not particularly good at it competitively but I absolutely do my best and am always trying to have fun. If you’re not here to figure out my pronouns, and if you should contact me on twitter or not you might be curious about my art?

Traditionally I work with watercolors, copics and microns, and graphite. I tend to avoid colored pencil, ink, or acrylic as I’m not the best at it. Oil painting is alright though, I’ll dabble in it occasionally if I’ve got the money and time. Although I use microns, I’m not particularly fond of them - inking is not my strong suite regardless of how i’m using it...

Digitally, I own photoshop CS5, a wacom intuos draw tablet, which might be their cheapest tablet but I don’t remember... But those are my main items for digital art. I also have manga studio and paint tool sai but rarely use them anymore. Personally I think digital artists should use whatever is affordable to them and most comfortable to use.

If I’m feeling a little bored without my other art tools I’ll use my iphone 8 and drawing on procreate with either my finger or my phone pen. I used to draw on my ipad 2 with procreate before it broke as well as my iphone 6 before it also broke... so what I’m saying is, any device could work if you don’t mind using your finger or a phone pen... I don’t particularly enjoy it but its nice to have around.
