Float in Flood Project - Dự án Phao trong Lũ
Environmental Work, Volunteering, and YSEALI in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Vietnam is highly exposed to natural disasters. According to World Bank, Vietnam loses 1 to 1.5 percentage of GDP each year due to natural disasters, affecting the life and economy of people.
Thus, taken from this problem, Float in Flood Project would concentrate on natural disaster reduction - an important environmental issue in Vietnam.
In year 2015, the project was conducted the first time in Binh Nam Ward, Thang Binh District, Quang Nam Province (Vietnam) with the support from U.S. Department of State and The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center, University of Montana.
With positive support from our community and the effectiveness of our Float in Flood project in year 2015, in 2016, the Project will come to Phu Tan District, An Giang Province in Mekong Delta with new add-ons to the project.
