A good friend of mine once tried to define me in one sentence. He said: 'Florence is a BLACK person who acts WHITE speaks COLOURED and wants to be INDIAN'. RAINBOWnising FLO!!! However, Whether there is some truth or not in my friend's statement is of no importance (I VALUE HIS OPINION!!!) as I believe that I am an individual who doesn't claim to represent (or attempt to) any culture or a particular group of people or region. I am just me. Rooted in Africa. Yet draw strength from God & life itself. Who I am is defined by the roads I have traveled. The people I have met in this journey of life. Like a scavenger I tend to borrow or steal what I like of their culture and leave out that which makes no sense or adds no value to me. I am more of an educator at heart and a lifelong learner. I am a student of life hence I love to travel and explore new places and experience new things. I see myself as a child of this (Africa) continent with a global citizenship and thinking. I am a goal oriented, driven, analytic person who pays attention to detail and I am service oriented. I believe that the greatest gift we can give ourselves and humanity is to serve others whilst serving our individual need(s) of self-realisation etc. My two passions are education and technology. The research I have (and still conducting) conducted in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to enhance teaching and learning as well as the planning, administration and management of a school was a great way of combining the two interest/s.
