Florence Harmon

Florence Harmon has fulfilled a variety of roles over the course of her career. She was an attorney with Fowler, White, Gillen, Boggs, Villareal and Banker, P.A., a legal firm based in Tampa, Florida. Serving in this capacity for a number of years, she represented large financial and corporate entities in the context of general commercial litigation. Early in her career, Florence Harmon served as a law clerk to Judge Jack T. Camp in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. But her career wasn't only about the law. One of Ms. Harmon's first jobs was that of middle school teacher at the Westminster Schools, located in Atlanta.

Florence Harmon's Juris Doctor degree is from University of Georgia, where she finished with Honors in 1988. She also earned a Master of Education through Georgia State. Prior to that, she attended the University of Virginia, where she completed a Master in English. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University in Atlanta, graduating in 1981 with High Honors. While at Emory, she earned nomination to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

Florence Harmon enjoys a rich personal life. A fan of the performing arts, she particularly enjoys ballet, especially narrative works like The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, Scheherazade, La Bayadère, and Giselle. Additionally, Ms. Harmon loves to garden and is an avid reader, counting William Faulkner, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, and the Bronte sisters among her list of favorite authors.
