Florian Dohmann

Florian Dohmann is founder and CEO of Birds on Mars, one of Germany’s first companies fully dedicated to applied artificial intelligence. Since 2017, he and his team of 40+ strategists, designers and engineers have helped organisations such as Deutsche Bahn, ZDF, Charité and Porsche put AI to work responsibly and with real impact. In 2026, Birds on Mars became part of the [at] Group, one of Europe’s largest AI consultancies.

His core topic is the responsible use of AI. He co-developed the Responsible AI Framework, released as open source, and speaks regularly about how we, as “Generation AI (GenAI)”, can and should actively expand the space of possibilities AI opens up for society and business.

Florian is business informatics graduate and IBM disciple, he co-invented the Artificial Muse together with painter Roman Lipski in 2016, years before ChatGPT. In 2019 he was among the first to teach “AI & Creativity”, starting at HfG Karlsruhe; since 2020 he has been teaching at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) and at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. He is part of the artist collective YQP, which explores human value in a digital world.
