Houston Texas United States

I am Dr. Florita Bell Griffin (Florita) Creative Director of ARC Communications, LLC, a Texas-based visual arts communications and publishing company, producer of Little Flower® and 2016 recipient of the Zora Neale Hurston Award administered by RUSA, a Division of the American Library Association.

I am also the real world template for the avatar, fictional storybook and animated character, “Little Flower®,” and the Little Flower Children’s Edutainment Brand is one of ARC’s registered trademarks.

I am the author of The Little Flower Vignettes – Story Behind The Story, and producer of Florita Bell Griffin’s Little Flower International Cultural Art Project. The Little Flower Vignettes book tells the non-fictional back story that inspired the first three books in the Children of the World Storybook and Educational Series, which is part of the Little Flower project.

A native of Wadesboro, NC, I graduated from Bowman Sr. High School. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Broadcasting/Cinema from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a Master of Urban Planning from Texas A&M University, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Urban and Regional Science from Texas A&M University.

A member of The Church Without Walls in Houston Texas, I serve as the Angel Tree Ministry Christian Education Coordinator. My spiritual gift is encouragement.
