Floyd Mitchell

I've always been a project kind of person as long as I can remember. The idea of creating something, of making something that others can interact with and be moved by is what inspires me.

As a child, I would take on these massive projects like building a three-story treehouse, one that would give Swiss Family Robinson a run for their money or restoring my grandfather's Army jeep. It was always something...I had to have this goal, this big thing that I could look forward to every morning and a goal that I would hit regardless of any obstacles or adversity that may have come my way.

That was the beginning for me.

Ok, fast forward 20 years and now I'm 32 and I look back and realize I have been involved in some pretty amazing projects. I'm thankful for my formative years and this foundation that has carried me into the business world. I'm quite proud to say that in many cases I've been the catalyst and first spark to make many a project happen. From Television Shows and Feature Film projects to start-ups and various websites and internet properties. I've been really blessed with a life so far, full of meaningful experiences and creative interactions. I'll include a partial list of links to some of the projects I've been a part of in the footer of this page.

My skill set is diverse including a wide range of software proficiency (primarily film and design related) mixed with natural born leadership and a dynamic global mindset.

I am a people person, yet I have worked to hone my left brain, to make wiser non-emotional decisions when running a business. This has proven helpful and adds some mystery to my process.

I am not (at least to date) the idea guy, I am not the vision. I'm the spark that helps make the vision a reality. The one who sees how it can be done regardless of how many say it can't, I see opportunity where others give up and I see things through to the very end, every single time, without fail.

Outside of work I enjoy hiking, cooking, playing the guitar, traveling, meeting new people and being active. I am currently spending what little extra time I have learning Ruby on Rails object oriented programming to build SAAS projects.

I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
