Cheng-Han Ho, Flutist

Flutist Cheng-Han Ho started studying music at age of 13 in Taiwan. In 2004, after being admitted to Department of Music, National Chiayi University, he has participated in all sorts of activities and performances, for instance, solo, chamber music, wind ensemble, jazz ensemble, contemporary ensemble and orchestra. As performances were constantly held in his life, this impelled him to spend much more time in practicing so as to have high standard performances. He has also played a part in the known ensembles in Taiwan such as Tone-Melody Flute Ensemble (Bass Flute Player), C.L.C. Military Band (Flute Principal), Aikuang Sun Taipei Orchestra, etc. Furthermore, he exchanged performance experiences with many overseas groups through activities or participated in world music activities. He gained lots of experiences from all these performance activities and concerts. He participated in different competitions and achieved good results, too. In 2006, after he earned the "Best Chamber Ensemble Award" granted in the New Star Competition by New Art, an art agency of Taiwan, he got lots of invitations to perform in Taiwan, e.g., Taipei 101 and National Concert Hall.

Cheng-Han is currently a graduate student at New York University, he studies flute with Dr. Bradley Garner, jazz and improvisation with Prof. Ralph Lalama. Beside, he is also a freelancer in the New York City.
