Itinerant engineer-scholar dedicated to helping the world arrange its knowledge, a queer Buddhist software creator, meditator, and student of cognitive science with an affinity for gender-critical performance art seeking boundless compassion in a modern, global, wired everyday world.

Currently working on solutions that apply decentralized patterns to digital asset management.

Previously I founded a consulting firm called MediaShelf, created Ruby libraries called active-fedora and om and served as the technical lead for the Hydra Project, which began as a collaboration with Stanford, Univerisity of Virginia, Univerisity of Hull and DuraSpace but has grown to be a large open-source software initiativewith over 40 partner institutions and broad adoption among Libraries, Archives and Museums.

I'm also a facilitator for Tergar, which means that I coordinate a meditation practice group in Philadelphia and occasionally present meditation courses from Tergar's Joy of Living curriculum.

Based in Philadelphia since January 2016, with strong ties to San Francisco and Minneapolis.
