I'm not going to lie, my relationship with food and eating has had its ups and downs over the years. My love of all things food related began as a child in the kitchen, helping my Mum with the weekly baking, where cookies, scones and pies were staples in the the Flynn household.
As a teenager food made me nervous and as an adult I have tried the majority of diets including no fat/low fat, Atkins, juicing, maple syrup and many many more. The result was a body out of sync with itself, dull skin, no energy, bloating and me often being quite hangry.
The turning point was after teenage years plagued with bad skin, my acne rearing its ugly head as an adult, so I decided to look what my diet really consisted of as opposed to strict calorie counting. What started off as a search to improve my skin turned into an interest in healthy, clean eating and a better attitude towards both food and my overall wellbeing. I became more aware of what I put into my body!!
The interest turned into a passion and I am currently studying Nutrition and Weight Management. I am learning so much about how what you put into your body affects both your physical and mental health, which I love. My favourite place is still in the kitchen, but now Im focusing on healthy, clean and delicious foods!!
My blog is about foods that I love, healthy recipes and nutritional advice/information. It is things I already know, and things I am learning along the way.
Happy reading.
