Folusho Holloway

Folusho Holloway is currently pursuing a master’s in public relations & corporate communications at New York University. She previously studied at the Pennsylvania State University and obtained her bachelor’s in marketing and a minor in film studies. At Penn State, she was Vice President of the African Student Association where she led general body meetings consisting of 120 plus members. She was also actively involved in other student clubs which included Women in Business and the Multicultural Academic Excellence Program.
Folusho has always had an interest in human rights and socioeconomic issues. In the past she has volunteered at nonprofit organizations in Ghana and in Atlanta, Georgia, where she taught disadvantaged children. She believes that with sufficient publicity, enough awareness can be raised to social issues like these. She aspires to one day become Director of Communications for an international nonprofit organization like the United Nations. Since 2009, she has been part of the marketing team for the annual Lagos State Carnival. She has also interned as a retail marketing and corporate banking intern at Ecobank Nigeria Ltd, and as a public relations intern for Hollywoodlife.com. She is technically proficient in M.S Office suite and various social media.
