I am a traveler. I have trouble telling people where I’m from; I have a visa in my passport, not in my wallet; I have two passports and one permanent resident card; I feel most comfortable in cities where many cultures co-exist; and I have a best friend who lives on the other side of the world.
A week after I was born in Toronto, Canada, my parents drove down to New York City with me in their laps. Less than a month after that, I was on a flight from Los Angeles back to Hong Kong – where my parents are from. At the age of four, my parents and I moved to Sydney, Australia. Two years later, my dad’s job took us to Beijing, China – the city I grew up in. After high school I decided to pursue my undergraduate degree at Duke University, and now my job with Apple Inc. has taken me full circle back to Toronto, Canada.
