During the first appointment, your injury will be assessed, diagnosed and treated. An individual treatment plan will be given, plus advice for you to follow at home to aid your rehabilitation. The number of return sessions is individual to you. Physiotherapy rehabilitation depends on a variety of factors and the nature of your injury, but this will be discussed during your initial assessment.
Physiotherapy aims to help people who are affected by an illness, disease or injury through movement, exercises, manual therapy and education. It helps people of all ages reduce pain, manage injuries and prevent worsen symptoms. It's not limited to sports people. Anyone with any pain can benefit. The sooner treatment is commenced the less likely chronic problems will develop.
At Forget me Knot we like to take the time to make sure that each client fully understands their injury and treatment plan before leaving the clinic. It's important for all of our clients to feel comfortable knowing what to do when they get home, until their return appointment, to help aid recovery.
