Melissa Woodward

Melissa is a Christian wife and mother and survivor of Domestic Child Sex Trafficking in 2008 she received her calling. The Lord instructed Melissa to become an activist for the benefit of enslaved children, and she has spent countless hours researching, speaking, and assisting organizations in the fight of this horrific epidemic. Her passion is to help, heal, free and love the brokenhearted from the pains she understands all too well. Melissa was sold into sex slavery at the age of 12 by a close family member. She awoke to her nightmare chained to a bed in a warehouse with other children where she faced unspeakable cruelty and performed thousands of sexual acts per year. Surviving this terror and becoming no longer usable to her captives, she was tossed in the garbage and left for dead. Melissa spent years praying one day she would be free and through His nailed scared hands, she found love, restoration and a life she never dreamed possible. Melissa has since founded For the Sake of One to prevent, rescue and heal underage children currently enslaved in domestic sex trafficking. Her vision is to open a safe house in her home state of Texas where these children can receive the love, support and protection necessary for a brighter future. In addition Melissa’s testimony will be featured on the 700 Club CBN in April and a short documentary Freedom.
