Dylan Foster

Theblog you are sitting in front of your screen reading shows you who I am as aperson, a musician, and a student. I will share my feelings on why it isimportant to have an appreciation for all music in every aspect of life.Meaning, even if you do not care for a certain style of music you don't ignorethat it does exist. I feel you should dabble in every genre. In time this blogwill come to life. You will see my achievements and created music through outthis next year. I am not an expert in this field and honestly I feel I will notbe able to say this for a long time. I have only been fooling around withrecording software for just about a year now. I have sung all of my life andplayed guitar up until I broke my radius in a skating accident. The only dreamI ever chased was to perform in front of a huge crowd. I always wanted to be atthe center of the energy, the one who is performing with my band behind mecalling for mosh pits to break out. I know that it will take years of practiceand hard work to reach that goal of holding an expert understanding in mydesired field. The understanding I have of music production in all lights willcontinue to expand as I grow in this field that is always shifting and molding.I plan to bring an intense and delicate twist of genres with my previous skillsthat will relate a lot of heavy metal to the newly learned skills that I takefrom these courses. What I learn and incorporate into my music I feel willbring forth a passion for music that once was there but is hidden from the eyesof society. So many people don't have passion for music, it's almost like theytake it for granted. Why should we let so much talent go to waste by usingsamples and taking so much from previous styles and just repeating the samemessages of sex, drugs and violence all over again. As a teenager who grew upwith music as his only release I think it's time to make a change. Over theyears I have learned a lot about my musical talents and music I enjoy listeningto as well. Where I lack actual playing skills, I make up with my voice. Thatis my instrument and has been since I was 10 years old. I started off in choirin middle school and continued all the way through my junior year of highschool.
