4 Paws for Ability is a program that involves students reinforce training and socializing service dogs for special needs children at the University of Kentucky. This is a nonprofit organization expanding across the United States that has existed since 19981, founded by Karen Shirk. Nationally, their mission statement is as follows: Enrich the lives of children with disabilities by the training and placement of quality, task trained service dogs to provide increased independence for the children and assistance to their families.
